Natural clays are easy to find at many natural-food stores. Look for tropical clays from volcanic islands. You can substitute ground pumice, a natural stone made from super-cooled lava, for the clay in this recipe. Along with drinking plenty of water and eating healthy foods, using a body scrub once a week will help boost circulation to the skin and keep it healthy and smooth. Makes 3 ounces (one treatment).

• 2 tablespoons natural clay or ground pumice
• 1 tablespoon sea salt
• Water, as needed

1. Mix together clay and salt using enough water to make a smooth paste.

2. To use, massage paste onto your body and allow it to dry on your skin, about 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and follow with a rich body cream or natural oil.
