Mix and match your favorite herbs in your favorite local, raw honey for a treat that spans across the seasons.
Ingredients
- Dried sage leaves
- Raw local honey
Directions
- Fill a jar 1/3 full with dried sage leaves. Add some honey and stir well. Add enough honey to fill the jar the rest of the way, and give it a final stir.
- Cover and label. Keep it on the counter, turning it upside down a couple of times a day.
- Taste it after 5 days. If it has the desired strength, strain off the herbs through a fine mesh strainer. If the honey is thick, heat it very gently until it becomes thin enough to pour. This mixture will keep indefinitely.
