<strong>Eucalyptus</strong> (<em>Eucalyptus globulus</em>) was used by the Aborigines to treat fevers and infections. Today we know that the leaves’ essential oil contains eucalyptol, which contributes to the herb’s ability to dilate the small airways of the lungs. It often is used as an ingredient in chest rubs and balms for sore muscles and joints.</p>
