Oregano tea is often recommended to help ward off congestion and sinus problems. It’s simple to make: First, bring 2 to 2-1⁄2 cups water to a boil. I'm not the author of this article, but I would think substituting dried oregano would depend on the freshness of the dried herb, knowing that dried herbs lose their potency over time. If the dried oregano is off the shelf at the grocery store, who knows how long it's been sitting there. If I dried the oregano at home last week, I'd give it a go...
