DIY Chest Rub to Relieve Common Cold Symptoms

DIY Chest Rub
- Gently melt 1/4 cup (60 mL) of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon (15 mL) of shaved beeswax (beeswax pellets may be used) over low heat.
- Pour mixture into an empty jar to cool.
- After it has cooled but before it sets up, stir in 4 drops of thyme linalool, 8 drops of peppermint, 8 drops of eucalyptus, 4 drops of Hyssopus var. decumbens essential oils.
- Stir well to combine.
- After patch testing on the foot or elbow, apply to the chest as a rub, massaging in well, as needed. Be sure to introduce this slowly in small amounts.
