Experience the outdoors at this unforgettable spa set in the forested shoreline of Lake Ouachita in Arkansas.

At Turtle Cove Spa at Mountain Harbor Resort & Spa, you can book an aromatic massage in the secluded wilderness overlooking the lake. The Pavilion Nature Experience is a massage in an open-air pavilion–and the aromatherapy of fresh pine trees and clean mountain air is nature’s own.

My husband, Rick, tried the skin-smoothing Crystal Massage Facial, and was pleased with the youthful results. Locally mined Arkansas quartz crystals are polished and shaped specifically to massage the facial area. He especially liked the aromatic foot treatment, as well as a hand and arm massage.

The Body-Vita-Foliation treatment uses an aromatic mixture of verbena and cypress in a three-step exfoliation, hydration and detoxification. An aromatic body wash is followed by an exfoliant of bamboo, walnut and flax powders. Then Dead Sea mineral salts are used to exfoliate rougher areas of the skin, followed by an organic skin-smoothing botanical blend of vitamin-rich omega-3 complex oils. You lie enclosed in a steam chamber–known as the Thermal M Machine–and receive an aromatic scalp and facial massage. Finally, a full-body massage with vitamin-rich moisturizers leaves you feeling silky-smooth.
