My ecoSNEAKS held up just fine during the hike into Haleakala Crater in Maui, Hawaii. These are Women's Satire-Hemp in cub color and are made out of recycled car tires, organic cotton, hemp and recycled plastics.

With the saying, “HOW we make our shoes is just as important as WHY we make them,” it is no wonder Simple Shoes won the first ever Footwear Plus Green Award in 2007. The ecoSNEAKS collection was designed to leave a smaller ecological foot print than traditional sneakers.

The simple ranking of “good, better, best” is applied to Simple Shoes’ products as the company strives to construct quality shoes and bags. EcoSNEAKS fall into the “better” category as they are constructed out of ISO 14001 suede, silk, recycled car tires, certified organic cotton, recycled plastic, recycled inner tubes and hemp.

The shoes are available in children’s, men’s and women’s sizes and come in a wide range of colors, patterns and styles. EcoSNEAKS are priced from $40 to $75.

In addition to ecoSNEAKS, the eco-friendly company also makes the collections Green Toe and Planet Walkers.
