On Mother’s Day, she’ll be touched by a handmade card graced with herbal flowers from the garden.

1. Flatten and dry freshly cut flowers and leaves between sheets of blotting paper in a flower press or under heavy books. Allow a week to dry. Here we’ve used scented geraniums, lavender, and several varieties of sage.
2. As a background for the arrangement, glue a piece of paper onto the front of a slightly larger folded paper or blank card.
3. Arrange your herbs, glue them in place, and press the card for another day. If desired, add a bow by threading raffia or narrow ribbon through small holes cut in the card.
