Your loved ones will know you care when they taste this delicious herbed honey. Many herbs mix well with honey and serve as tasty seasonings for everything from chicken to tea. Clove and star anise honeys are delicious in hot tea; try mint honey over ice cream or in iced tea; cinnamon honey is yummy on toast; and rosemary honey is a welcome addition to grilled chicken. If you’re adventurous, experiment with some other herbs and let us know how they turn out. Start now, as the honey needs to steep several weeks to absorb the herbs’ flavor.

  • Cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, mint, rosemary or star anise
  • Honey
  1. Fill a jar of any size loosely with whole herbs. Add honey to cover the herbs and fill the jar.
  2. Allow the mixture to “steep” for several weeks. Strain out herbs, seal and label according to your recommendation for use.
