<p>• 1 tablespoon aniseed<br />
• 2 cups water<br />
• 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar<br />
• 1 1/2 cups brown sugar</p>
<p>1. Simmer the seeds in water for 15 to 20 minutes; strain the liquid into another saucepan.</p>
<p>2. Stir in the sugar. Boil to the hard crack stage (290 to 300 degrees), then pour into an oiled shallow pan.</p>
<p>3. Mark into squares; break apart when hard, and wrap each piece in waxed paper.</p>
