A Midsummer’s Eve Celebration: Borage Wine Punch

Serves about 30
This punch will gladden the heart of midsummer revelers.

  • 1 gallon dry red wine
  • 1 cup sugar (more to taste)
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • 1 stalk borage
  • Crystallized borage flowers
  • Lemon slices
  1. In a large nonmetallic container, pour the red wine, lemon juice and sugar. Add the borage stalk, cover and refrigerate overnight.
  2. At serving time, remove the borage, pour the wine into a chilled punch bowl and decorate it with crystallized borage flowers and lemon slices.
