Maple Walnut Muffins
Yield: 12 muffins
2 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, softened
1 egg
3/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Grease muffin tins.
2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add softened butter and mix well.
3. Add egg, syrup, and milk, stirring until well blended. Fold in walnuts.
4. Fill muffin tins a little more than half-full with batter. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
