Herbal Remedies for Pets: Goldenseal Tea Flush for Periodontal Disease

<p>• 1 teaspoon dried, powdered goldenseal root<br />
• 2 cups water</p>
<p>1. Make a tea of the goldenseal and water; Let cool and strain the mixture.</p>
<p>2. With a syringe or turkey baster, squirt all of the tea gently over the affected area and out of the mouth. Do this twice daily for 10 days. The herb has a bitter taste, so be aware that some pets will not like it.</p>
