    Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 cup distilled water
  • 1 ounce castile soap
  • 7 to 9 drops essential oil (optional)
  • Pint jar
  • 2 to 3 (6-by-6-inch) squares
  • cotton fabric

Directions

  • Brew a strong thyme tea by combining thyme leaves with boiling distilled water. Cover and allow tea to completely cool. Strain, then compost strained thyme leaves.
  • To the strained tea, add castile soap and any essential oil you wish.
  • Pour tea mix into pint jar.
  • Fold fabric squares and immerse them in the tea.
  • Add a lid to the jar and store on the counter until needed.

Keep these handy for disinfecting after you’ve washed down your counters in the kitchen. If you wash the cloths after each use instead of returning them directly to the soaking jar, you’ll only need to change out the liquid recipe once every week or two.
