With winter looming around the bend, my hands are becoming dry and cracked. I hate the painful feeling of broken, cut skin around my fingernails, so lately I’ve been slathering on the lotion—and of all the lotions on the Natural Home & Garden shelves, I’ve found myself putting on EO’s Everyday Body Lotion the most lately.
EO’s Everyday Body Lotion absorbs well and leaves skin soft and smooth without feeling greasy or sticky. Ingredients such as jojoba oil, aloe vera and oat betaglucan soothe, soften and moisturize deeply, helping to keep skin young and promote firmness. The lotions are available in seven different scents (and unscented) and are naturally scented with essential oils. I gravitate toward the Grapefruit & Mint lotion, an uplifting and energizing scent that helps wake me up in the mornings and keep me focused in the afternoons, while our Lifestyle Editor, Ginevra, prefers the soothing Rose & Chamomile scent. No matter the combination, the scents on EO’s Everyday Body Lotion are pleasant but not powerful, providing a little aromatherapy without sending your scent receptors into shock.
The Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep database awarded EO’s Everyday Body Lotion a score of 1, placing it in the low hazard range. (Only two ingredients in the lotions received a score higher than a 2: dimethicone and phenoxyethanol, which each scored a 3, placing these ingredients in the moderate hazard range.) Although the lotions themselves are not USDA-certified organic, they are made with many certified-organic ingredients.
EO’s Everyday Body Lotion comes in 8-ounce bottles for $8.99 or travel-size 1.5-ounce bottles for $1.43.
