5 Natural Ways to Treat Uterine Fibroids

| 8/19/2019 8:24:00 PM

By age 50, between 70 and 80 percent of women will experience uterine fibroids. Since most women will confront this common health issue during their lifetime, it's crucial to develop a treatment plan for each woman's unique needs.

While medications and pharmaceuticals constitute the most common form of treatment for these non-cancerous tumors, it's vital to consider every possible treatment plan available. If you're looking for a more natural way to treat your fibroids, you'll be happy to know that you have access to many different options. Below, we'll delve into a few natural alternatives you may want to consider implementing into your wellness routine.

1. Switch Up Your Diet

Your diet has a profound impact on your overall health and sense of well-being — uterine fibroids included.

If you currently don't spend too much time worrying about the food that goes into your body, now's the time to start. Fortunately, eating a nutritious and nutrient-rich diet is simple and doesn't require too many lifestyle changes on your part.

When dealing with uterine fibroids specifically, try to cut out as many carbohydrate-rich and sugary foods as possible. Why? Since these foods can trigger your body to produce excessive insulin hormones, they can aggravate your fibroids or symptoms.

UFE isn't remotely "minor," and produces very little improvement. Negative outcomes can involve the uterus turning necrotic, i.e. literally dying inside you, requiring emergency surgery. In what universe does it seem a good idea to inject plastic pellets (which can migrate to other organs) into the body? It does, however, despite its lack of efficacy, make radiologists, who now have a lucrative "in" to women's medicine, a very reliable source of income, since, as you point out, most of us will suffer from fibroids eventually. It requires IV painkillers and works by starving the fibroid of its blood supply, causing it to degenerate. Having had a naturally occurring degenerating fibroid, I can tell you, it's no picnic. To give you an idea, morphine didn't touch it. Dilaudid didn't work, either, but you're so high, you just don't care. It is a profound disservice to women that the best treatment for them -- surgical removal -- has been given very little attention in the medical community (it's been around for DECADES), but that is changing a little because they built an expensive laparoscopic machine -- the Da Vinci -- that they need to pay for. Their usual preference, however, is for an unnecessary hysterectomy. Morcellation has its own risks (in RARE cases, pulverizing cancerous tumors and spreading them throughout the uterus.) It is a myth that you can treat fibroids naturally. If that were the case, we wouldn't still have them. Diet, etc. doest not cause them, so it won't treat them, either. It should be noted that one of the biggest proponent of all the froufrou BS methods, Christiane Northrup, had HER fibroids surgically removed after spending an inordinate amount of time following her own natural cure advice. If you don't believe me, just lurk for awhile on the embo boards. A better source of info. than your half-assed magical thinking is Dr. Parker's uterine fibroid second opinion website. Promulgating ineffective treatments like you have done just lets them get bigger while you put off surgery. By then, they'll want to castrate you. Find a fertility doc who values preserving the function of our organs (regardless of whether or not you actually plan to get pregnant), because they are highly skilled at preserving the uterus. Otherwise, when you tell your beloved gyno that you no longer want children, the only word they know is hysterectomy, hysterectomy, hysterectomy.
