Rose and Cucumber Wake-Up-Well Toning Mist

The benefits of using natural essential oils and herbal remedies in skincare is that they not only calm and support the skin in many ways, but also have the power to stimulate or settle the mind through inhalation. Facial mists are a refreshing way to prepare the skin for other products. Living in polluted cities and toxic environments means that excess oil and dirt build up on the skin’s surface. Rose water helps to cleanse this off, whilst also reducing redness and inflammation and soothing many other irritations. Aromatically, rose water is known to reduce anxiety and enhance positivity, whilst cucumber water is an incredibly refreshing and hydrating ingredient that, used in the morning, ensures your skin is clean and fueled with vital vitamins and minerals.

Makes about 20ml
Equipment: 50ml bottle with a spray lid (plastic or glass)

  • 40ml natural cucumber water
  • 1 1/2 tsp rose water (or orange blossom water)
  • 1 1/2 tsp almond or macadamia oil
  • Elevate it: 4-6 small charged crystals

  1. Put all the ingredients into a bottle, either using a funnel or a clean jug.
  2. Seal with a lid. Store at room temperature (or in the fridge for a more cooling spritz) for up to 2 months.

To use, shake vigorously before applying. Spray onto your face, after cleansing. Pat into the skin with clean, dry hands to encourage the mist to settle. Wait until fully absorbed before applying moisturiser or make-up. Alternatively, spray onto a muslin cloth and wipe your face with the cloth. Wait until fully absorbed before applying moisturiser or make-up. Use a muslin cloth or a flannel to remove residual dead skin.
