Herb Basics: Make Herbal Homemade Mouthwash

Making your own herbal mouthwash is easy, fun and a good way to avoid the preservatives and artificial colors of commercial products. To make one, use several ounces of the fresh or dried herbs listed below, whole or lightly processed. Place the herbs in a wide-mouth jar with a screw-on lid, and fill the jar with vodka. For a clear mouthwash, steep the mixture for a few days, then strain. If desired, the herbs can be left floating in the mouthwash.
