<p>This petroleum jelly salve is a very simple preparation; just mix the active ingredient into petroleum jelly.</p>
<ul>
<li>2 tablespoons chopped, dried herb</li>
<li>7 ounces petroleum jelly</li>
</ul>
<ol>
<li>Simmer herb in petroleum jelly in a pan on the stove for 10 minutes, stirring well. Strain through fine gauze.</li>
<li>Pour hot liquid into container. Seal after it cools and hardens. Store and use for up to 6 months (checking for mold or bacteria growth if exposed to heat and moisture).</li>
