Healthy Liver Diet: Hepatic Liver Support Tea

| July/August 2002

Makes 2 cups
Use for chronic hepatitis or after an acute phase of hepatitis has passed.

  • 1 teaspoon milk thistle
  • ½ teaspoon artichoke leaf
  • ½  teaspoon turmeric
  • ½  teaspoon schisandra
  • ½  teaspoon shiitake (Lentinula edodes)
  • ¼ teaspoon licorice
  • 2½  cups water
  1. Simmer the herbs and water for 45 minutes.
  2. Steep the herbs for 15 minutes, strain and drink 1 cup of the tea two times daily.
