Enter your fabulous, sustainable kitchen or bathroom in our contest; win and see your favorite room in the pages of Natural Home magazine!
Do you have or know of an amazing, stylish and eco-friendly kitchen or bathroom? We are looking for rooms that employ the latest in cutting-edge green building methods and materials, and that also integrate the homeowners' personal style into the decor. The winners of our Kitchen and Bathroom of the Year contest will be featured in the September/October 2008 issue of Natural Home.
Entering is easy: Simply mail or e-mail a description of the room you are nominating, along with photos to us at Natural Home by May 1, 2008. You can e-mail jpeg or tiff files, or submit photos by mailing a CD or slides to: Natural Home, Kitchen/Bath of the Year, 1503 SW 42nd St., Topeka, KS 66609.
More about the description: Send a brief description of the room (not for publication). Why was it built the way it was? What were the special challenges? What were the triumphs? Include the names of the architect and interior designer, if applicable.
More about photos: E-mail jpeg or tiff files (or mail 35 mm slides or a CD) that represent the room accurately and thoroughly. Show the ceiling and floor as well as views from each direction. Details of special features are helpful, and quality photographs can make a difference in the judges' selection. If sending photographs by mail, label each with your name, address and telephone number or materials will not be returned. (Materials will be handled with care; however, Natural Home assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged materials. Please do not send originals). Professional photos must include photo credits.
Requirements to Win: Winning entrants must be available for publication in Natural Home magazine and may not be published in any other publications without written consent from Natural Home, until after May 2009. Award-winning homes must be available to a Natural Home photographer for one full day between May 1 and June 30, 2008.
Deadline for entries: May 1, 2008
