Candied Ginger Recipe

1. To make candied ginger, dissolve 5 tablespoons of sugar in 1 cup of warm water in a saucepan. Add 1 cup of peeled and sliced ginger and simmer until the slices are tender, about 45 minutes. Strain out the water and place the slices in a glass dish. Bake at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 4 to 5 hours, or until the ginger is dry.
