Fermentation is a great way to enjoy the harvest from your garden after the growing season is over.
A simple combination of root vegetables like carrots and turnips layered with salt and root vegetable leaves will provide you with a flavorful dish in two days, weeks or months depending on the desired taste. Simply combine all ingredients in a canning jar, cover with water and put on a pickle pipe and ring.
These fermented vegetables are delicious, nutritious, and a great way to store your excess vegetables.
