Try this tea to help care for you body
For centuries, folk healers have used hawthorn to treat a variety of heart conditions. Contemporary science shows us why: It dilates blood vessels, making it effective in helping blood flow smoothly.
Drinking a cup or two of Hawthorn Tea daily may be beneficial preventive medicine. More dramatic results may be obtained by using hawthorn in other forms or in larger-than-typical culinary doses, but this depends on your individual condition and should be attempted only under a physician’s care.
• 1 teaspoon lightly crushed hawthorn berries
• 1 cup boiling water
• Honey to taste
1. Simmer the berries in boiling water for 4 to 5 minutes; strain into a cup and add honey if desired. If you prefer, quadruple the recipe, strain into a small pitcher, and chill. Serve with ice cubes and a taste of honey.
