This marinated garlic recipe makes it easy to take advantage of the health-promoting benefits. Marinated garlic is terrific as a snack and can be added to salad dressings, soups, vegetables or stir-fried rice. It will keep for at least one month in the refrigerator.

  • Peeled garlic cloves
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Soy sauce
  • Honey
  1. Fill a glass jar two-thirds full of peeled garlic; set aside. Combine equal parts balsamic vinegar, soy sauce and honey, and heat gently until honey liquefies.
  2. Pour mixture over garlic cloves, making sure liquid covers garlic by at least 1 inch. Let cool to room temperature, and cover the jar with a lid. Place in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks before eating.
