Suzanne Tabert

Occupation: Bioregional Herbalist and Founder of the Cedar Mountain Herb Schoolsuzanne

Place of Residence: Seattle, WA and Bonners Ferry, Idaho

Suzanne Tabert is an autodidact, learning from the plants themselves her entire life. She harvests plants in a multitude of habitats both wild and garden, formulating herbal remedies and working with an amazing tribe of apprentices and community students. Bringing plant medicine to the people in a way that is both effective and tasty is her motto.

Suzanne’s science geek side pushes her to learn about the human body, its anatomy and physiology. Her fascination with how the plants react on cells, molecules, organs, and body systems has kept Suzanne in the academic world as well as the forest.

Current Projects:

In addition to her apprenticeship programs and community workshops at the Cedar Mountain Herb School, Suzanne Tabert teaches wildcrafting courses at Bastyr University. She is currently writing a wildcrafting book that can be utilized by people of all regions and walks of life who wish to take their health back into their own hands.
