Lauren Landers, Blogger

Occupation: Writer, Homesteader, and Crafter lauren landers

Place of Residence: Massachusetts

Lauren is a writer, homesteader and crafter, Reiki practitioner and runs her own online antique and vintage resale business. She is passionate about her current project zerowastehomestead, a blog that developed to chart the progress of a beginning homesteader and pass along tips and tricks to fellow homesteaders and DIY enthusiasts. In addition to her blog, Lauren writes poetry and fiction, some of which has appeared in Philadelphia Stories, The American Dissident and Sanitarium Magazine, among others.

When she’s not writing, Lauren is working on her Massachusetts homestead, dreaming up new upcycled crafts, tending her menagerie of pets (including a red footed tortoise named “Harriet”), whipping up homemade, all-natural cleaning and beauty care products and working in her garden (or indoor garden in the winter). She also enjoys cooking, singing, traveling and having a good, deep belly laugh. Lauren’s greatest passion, which she hopes comes through in all of her blog posts, is a deep and unending awe of nature and the desire to live in harmony with the natural world, eating organically, living in sync with nature and in love with the earth.
