Jessica is an assistant editor for Mother Earth Living, a bi-monthly natural wellness and conscientious living magazine.
Jessica first found her excitement for communications during middle school when she publicly spoke about her experiences participating in a service trip. Afterward, she loved hearing from people how the stories connected with them and made them think differently. That excitement followed Jessica into college, where she studied journalism and theatre at Susquehanna University. Some of her favorite ways that she explored her growing passion for communications was through creating travel writing pieces for student publications and devising a two-woman performance about identity in the theatre and society for an independent study.
After graduating in 2017, Jessica joined Ogden Publications as an online editorial assistant in Web Services. She moved from Pennsylvania, her lifelong home, to Kansas and quickly fell in love with the cities, small towns, and open skies — though she does miss the Pennsylvania mountains. Eventually, Jessica moved from Web Services to Mother Earth Living, where she gets to follow her love for communications by working as an assistant editor for an impactful magazine.
Outside of Mother Earth Living, Jessica continues to adjust to Kansas life. Her lifelong love of nature keeps her exploring outdoors, and her lifelong love for books keeps her stuck between bookshelves in her town’s stores and libraries. She is also looking forward to volunteering in local performance arts classes in 2018.
