First World Trash creates totes, messenger bags, makeup bags, laptop sleeves and more from recycled materials. Each bag is handcrafted by First World Trash owner and designer, Jenelle Malbrough, out of recycled materials found in junkyards. The salvaged materials include used car seat belts, seat belt buckles and vinyl billboards.
Although you can choose different bag styles and patterns on First World Trash’s website, each bag will vary in color and pattern, making each one unique.
My favorite bag is this brown tote. I love the handles made from old car seat belts. It also looks super durable, which is good for me because I tend to wear down purses easily. The regular size totes, like this one, costs $40; the small size costs $30. Utility totes, with pockets for organizing supplies, cost $75.

The larger messenger bags cost between $100 and $125. Laptop sleeves cost $60. Accessory pouches cost between $20 and $30. The duffle bag costs $150.
