Who could imagine that a granola bag could be turned into a watering can?  Or, a drink pouch into a plant caddy?  TerraCycle®, Inc., the pioneering upcycling and recycling company, has three new products available for the eco-conscious gardener.   The Terra Stone Plant Caddy, the Eco-Terra Watering Can and TerraCycle’s trademark worm poop All-Purpose Plant Food will be on store shelves this spring.  These are all great additions to the host of tools used by gardeners who want to do their part for the environment.

Terra Stone Plant Caddy

The Terra Stone Plant Caddy by Plastec is made in the USA from recycled drink pouches and will be available in Target, Wegmans and select True Value, Ace Hardware and independent garden centers in Spring 2012.  The retail price will range between $12.99 and $16.99.

Eco Terra Watering Can

The Eco-Terra Watering Can by Plastec is made in the USA from recycled granola bags.  It will be available in select True Value, Ace Hardware and independent garden centers as well as Wegmans in Spring 2012 for an approximate retail price of $5.99-9.99.

The worm poop All-Purpose Plant Food was introduced in 2004 and is loved by gardeners. The popular plant food’s labeling, formulation and packaging was rethought and redesigned for Spring 2012.  Made from liquefied worm castings, it is 100% natural and packaged in used soda and sport drink bottles. The 32 oz. all-purpose granular plant food will be sold for an approximate retail price of $10, while the 20 oz. all-purpose liquid plant food will be approximately $5.  For retail locations, visit www.dynamiteplantfood.com or www.terracycleshop.com.
