This lotion is especially helpful for infected toenails. Be sure to label the lotion “for external use only.”

  • 1 cup aloe vera gel
  • 1/2 ounce bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis) tincture
  • 1 teaspoon borax
  • 1/2 teaspoon clove oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon tea tree oil

1. Pour all ingredients into a blender. Blend for a few minutes, then pour into amber dropper bottles. Stored in a cool, dark place, the lotion will last for up to one year.

2. Shake the lotion well before using and apply two to three times daily. If redness or irritation develops, discontinue use.
