Always be careful with herbs, be sure to consult a specialist
Work with an experienced herbalist or herbally oriented health-care provider.
If self-treating, it’s always safest to start with low doses of herbs and increase gradually. If you experience any adverse effect, stop taking the herb immediately.
Unless otherwise specified, use the following doses.
Teas: 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried herbs per cup of water. If the herbs look leafy or flowery, put them in a teapot, add boiling water and steep for ten to fifteen minutes. If the herbs look woody or rooty, simmer for ten to fifteen minutes.
Capsules or other products: follow label instructions.
