Earth Day is tomorrow, and all across the globe millions of people will be celebrating in their own way. One celebration that we’re particularly excited about is Anthropologie’s recycled cork art window displays. In honor of Earth Day, Anthropologie and the Cork Forest Conservation Alliance have teamed up to promote cork recycling and the preservation of Mediterranean cork forests through artful window displays in 153 Anthropologie stores across the country. For the displays, the CFCA donated 2 million recycled corks to be arranged into unique window displays.

Stopping by an Anthropologie store this week? Snap a picture of the display and share it with us! We’d love to see the different designs. Like the displays? For the rest of the week (through Saturday, April 23), Anthropolige is hosting free workshops where you can learn to make your own recycled cork art. Visit Anthropologie’s Facebook page for times and locations of the workshops.

Not feeling crafty? After the installation is over, most of the corks will be returned to the CFCA and recyled through its Cork ReHarvest program. A select number of stores, however, will be auctioning off their displays.
