Today Re-Nest posted a list of its favorite Etsy stores—and I can’t wait to check them out. Etsy is a shopping site with a goal “to enable people to make a living making things, and to reconnect makers with buyers.” The site’s motto is “buy, sell and live handmade,” and it’s my go-to place whenever I’m in the market for handmade textiles, vintage goods or original artwork. The site lets me buy direct from artisans and cruise meticulously curated shops—without leaving my chair.

Re-Nest’s Cambria Bold writes that this “is just a small, teeny-weeny sampling” of all that Etsy has to offer, and she invited readers to submit their own favorites. I’ll be checking back to see what they have to say.
I'm eyeing this vintage enamelware basin from Etsy store This Old Red Hen.
