Beyond Coastal Mineral Sunscreen

Though I usually wear sunscreen year-round, now that it’s officially spring, the (sometimes) sunny Kansas weather is a reminder to keep slapping on sunscreen each morning.

I prefer to use separate sunscreens for my face and body, but I was willing to give Beyond Coastal Mineral Sunscreen a shot because it’s loaded with green tea, aloe, and vitamins A, C and E. It’s also SPF 30, which is higher than what I normally slather on my face each morning.

Beyond Coastal Mineral Sunscreen didn’t disturb my sensitive, oily skin. Beyond Coastal Mineral Sunscreen is fragrance-free, oil-free and paraben-free, so really, all I’m putting on my face is the good stuff, like aloe leaf juice, algae extract, vitamins, jojoba seed oil, and of course, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, which are natural minerals that aid in sun protection. Because Beyond Coastal uses these natural mineral sun protectants, you have to make sure to really rub it in so you don’t cast a ghost-white glow (think lifeguard-white noses).

For those of you who are lucky enough to catch some spring break rays, remember to toss a tube of Beyond Coastal Mineral Sunscreen into your beach bag. It retails for $15.99 for a 4-ounce tube and is available online and in stores. My tube of Beyond Coastal Mineral Sunscreen lives in my bathroom vanity drawer, but I’m looking forward to summer when I can slather on this moisture- and vitamin-rich sunscreen at the pool and beach.
