Makes about 1 cup
I take a spoonful of this when I feel the sniffles beginning, have a scratchy throat or any flu-like symptoms. I take it throughout the day, but always before bed. I hold the honey in my mouth for awhile to let my saliva begin to work, and let it slide down the back of my throat, swallowing in small amounts. It’s also good on toast or a bowl of oatmeal.

  • 6 to 8 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup raw, organic honey
  1. Peel garlic cloves. Put honey and garlic in a heavy-bottomed, nonreactive saucepan and heat gently over medium-low heat. When honey starts to bubble and simmer, stir and cook for about 3 minutes. Cover and remove from heat.
  2. When cool, pour into a clean, sterilized jar and seal with a lid. Keep in a cool place, out of sunlight, and use as needed.
