Lately, I’ve been loving Pratima Neem Rose Face Sunscreen. Its active ingredient is zinc oxide and the formula features organic rose, neem and licorice. The SPF 30 is ideal for everyday exposure and its light consistency works well over my regular daily moisturizer and under my mineral makeup.

I’ve been using Pratima natural sunscreen for two weeks now and have become completely intrigued with the entire brand. Its creator, Dr. Pratima Raichur, founded her products (and New York City spa and clinic) on Ayuverdic principles. Ayurveda (ayur is Sansrkit for “life” while veda is Sanskrit for “science” or “knowledge”) originated in India and is one of the world’s oldest medicine systems. Ayurvedic medicine stresses the balance of body, mind and spirit and integrates plants, herbs and nature into healthy, holistic treatments.

With neem and rose essential oils, Pratima Neem Rose Face Sunscreen is loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory benefits in addition to natural protection from UVA, UVB and UVC rays. Pratima Neem Rose Face Sunscreen has a smooth, silky texture that slides on evenly and easily. I like that even though it’s zinc-based, Pratima Neem Rose Face Sunscreen doesn’t take lots of rubbing in to get it to cover without casting a white glow on my face. I love that Pratima Neem Rose Face Sunscreen is packaged in a convenient, metal pump bottle; it takes about three pumps to get a healthy amount of natural sunscreen to moisturize and protect my face from the sun’s harsh rays.

On those days when I’m rushing out the door (the majority of my days!), it’s comforting to know that I have a luxurious, all-in-one, natural sunscreen and moisturizer to keep my skin protected.
