I just got this great email from a good friend of Natural Home & Garden, Debbie Hindman:
Robyn—it's such a great experience when we are forced to step outside of our everyday existence and the realization hits us—I am not alone, I am not the center of the universe, and the planet continues to breathe and hum along with out me! How short-sighted we can become as we fill our days (and sleepless nights) with never-ending to do lists and deadlines to meet. Your experience at Maho Bay reminds me of similar occasions when I am faced with my own immortality, and quickly I gain new perspective.
How to create space in my life to allow that shift to occur naturally and keep me in alignment with the heartbeat of the planet—keeping this thought uppermost in my mind is my goal. Seeing all the wonders of Spring growing before my eyes helps my focus . . . appreciating the earth's ability to spring up and grow and create beauty is inspiring! I want to create beauty and grow too! If that is my goal, how can the world around me not be served and therefore those around me too?
