New Barr-Co. Vintage Apothecary Line Launches

Husband and wife team John and Kelley Barr, long time product designers and manufacturers of fine apothecary goods, have launched their newest line, Barr-Co. Other collaborations include k. hall designs and Simpatico. The Barr-Co. collection is made from natural ingredients and is hand crafted in St. Louis, Missouri. Products will be available at Anthropologie stores nationwide on January 1, 2012 and online at http://www.khalldesigns.com/products/barr-co.

Barr-Co is a vintage styled apothecary line visually styled to represent the pioneers of tonics, tinctures, and elixirs. With the old “medicine man” feel and local ingredients, this collection epitomizes the American spirit. The re-usable packaging includes glass milk bottles, parfait glassware, muslin bags and tin-ware.  

The Barr-Co collection is made with natural ingredients (more than 98%) and uses mainly plant materials. The skin products are made with Colloidal oatmeal (Aveena Sativa), known for soothing irritated and itchy skin with the added bonus of a providing a protective barrier which helps maintain moisture and keeps skin smooth and silky. Oatmeal also contains Saponins that help remove dirt and oil from pores. Candles and bath salts are dated and hand signed. The original collection is scented with milk, oatmeal, vanilla and vetiver.

Products include:

Bath Salt/soak ($30), Bubble Bath ($32), Body Lotion ($28), Hand Soap ($28), Oatmeal Saddle Soap ($15), Hand Salve ($11.50), Natural Wax Candle ($25) and Travel Candle ($11.50).
