Saving the rainforest can be just as easy as shampooing your hair each morning.

Okay, so maybe you won’t save the whole rainforest in just one wash, but by the time your shampoo bottle runs out, you will have saved one acre of rainforest if you shampooed with Save Your Hair all-natural organic shampoo. If you paired it with the Save Your Hair conditioner, the number of acres you’ll have saved has doubled.

Want to help save the rainforest? It can be as easy as switching shampoos.

Here’s how it works: In 2007, Save Your World, a company that is dedicated to supporting on-the-ground conservation agreements in developing countries teamed up withConservation International (CI), a company that works to ensure a healthy and productive planet for us all.

So now every time you purchase a product from Save Your World, you save one acre of rainforest in Guyana, a tropical country located on the northern coast of South America, and all of the plants and animals that call it home from being destroyed.

Save Your World is the first body care company to make this type of promise–and it seems to be working. Save Your World saves over 200,000 acres of rainforest in Guyana each year.

This type of work is extremely important to the environment, but it is also important to humans everywhere around the world. The reasons are endless, but here’s a big one: It is estimated that rainforests contain 70 percent of the plants identified as having anti-cancer characteristics by the U.S. National Cancer Institute. Only 1 percent of rainforest plants have been tested for medicinal value. With each acre that’s destroyed, our chances for finding a cure grow slimmer.

Not only are the products great for the environment, but they’re also good for your body as well. The shampoo, for example, is made completely from organic materials, and it is paraben-free. It contains yerba maté extract, which is derived from a tree leaf in South America where it is used to make a nutrient-rich tea comparable to green tea. It is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. The shampoo is also infused with aloe vera extract, which rejuvenates cells for the hair.

Save Your World offers a variety of body care products, meeting your needs for body, hair, and lip care, that are available where natural personal care products are sold. So, go ahead, make your purchase, and start saving the rainforest from your very own bathroom.
