J.PattonHigh blood pressure patients may especially enjoy the health benefits of black tea, a new study suggests.

In the study, researchers found that participants who drank three cups of black tea a day enjoyed lower blood pressure levels than when they began the study. The average person saw blood pressure levels lowered by two to three points, which can have a huge impact on the risk of heart disease and the prevalence of hypertension, or high blood pressure.

Black tea (Camellia sinensis), which is made from aged leaves and stems from the plant used to make green tea, can be consumed as a hot or cold beverage. The tea is packed with antioxidants and has been recognized for many other health benefits in the past.

New research suggests black tea can help lower blood pressure.

These benefits include:

• Headache relief
• Increased alertness
• Heart disease and heart attack prevention
• Parkinson’s disease prevention and treatment
• Reduced risk of cancer
• Tooth decay prevention
• Weight loss
• Increased urine output

It seems there is nothing tea can’t do. In fact, in 2003 a study published in the Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences found that drinking five cups of tea a day boosts the body’s defense against infection in general.

Tea drinkers gain so much with each cup that there’s no reason not to join them. So, give one of our favorite black teas a try, and cheers to your health.

I have been using bladder control tea for women from and thought for a long time this was the only remedy for bladder but after searching on the internet about remedies for bladder infections I found out that black tea also has positive effects. I know a lot of people that started using medicinal herbs and all of them noticed the herbs were effective, does anyone knows where can I buy good quality black tea?
