Aches and pains plague all of us. Whether you've overdone a workout, experienced an injury or are coming down with the flu, achy muscles may leave you reaching for over-the-counter remedies. But you can soothe sore muscles with homemade natural remedies, such as a simple ginger compress. A ginger compress works wonders for back strains, sprains, bruises and other injuries when applied two or three times a day for several days. Fresh ginger root works best, but powdered ginger can also be effective. Cinnamon powder adds extra warming and dispersing action. This herbal remedy recipe will help you make a muscle-relaxing compress perfect for overworked muscles or injuries.
