Sugar makes a gentle facial scrub that freshens and stimulates skin, and it is gentle enough to use on delicate skin types. Mix in your favorite herb or flower petals for scent. Makes 8 ounces.

• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1/4 cup dried flower petals or herb leaves, such as rose, lavender or basil

1. Mix sugar and dried petals or herbs in a clean, dry, glass jar. Cover with a tight fitting lid or plastic wrap and set aside in a dry spot for a few weeks.

2. To use, pour a small amount of scented sugar into the palm of your hand and mix with water or your favorite cleanser. Massage onto face and rinse well with warm water.
