Tax season is already upon us, and who knows what’s in our favor from Uncle Sam. Good news! Besides reaping those health, money, and environmental benefits of going green, now eco-conscious folk may be eligible for an extra tax credit too. Things like energy-efficient window or door purchases, a new furnace or air conditioner, or insulation additions may all lead to a hefty tax refund—up to $500.
To find out if your 2007 green purchases are eligible, check out energystar.gov and energytaxincentives.org. But, hurry! You have until April 15 to file these claims.
