It is now easier to understand the labels of cleaning products. Seventh Generation , the Vermont-based natural cleaning product company, has developed a web-based list of ingredients commonly use for cleaning.

The Label Reading Guide allows users to search ingredients by search bar or alphabetical index. The guide is accessible online and through web-enabled cell phones.

Seventh Generation is currently undergoing a marketing re launch of its products which have had a great deal of competition in the last year from Clorox’s Green Works and Arm & Hammer Essentials .

Part of the Seventh Generation strategy is to list the ingredients on their products, which is not required. The database adds an extra piece of information for consumers curious about the ingredients in their cleaning products, if you can find them, because most companies don’t list them.
