Makes 1 cup
Make this milk when you can’t sleep and cocoa might keep you awake. You can use sugar to sweeten, but I really like the maple syrup best. If you don’t have vanilla bean paste, use 11/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract and 2 teaspoons sweetener, or add 2 tablespoons of Vanilla Syrup (see recipe below).
• 1 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
• 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup or sugar
1. In a small saucepan, bring the milk almost to a simmer over medium low heat. Stir in the vanilla bean paste and sweetener and blend until it is dissolved. Taste: If you have a sweet tooth, you may want to add another teaspoon of sweetener. Pour vanilla milk into a mug. Inhale the vanilla aroma before you take your first sip. Relax and enjoy.
