derma e® Natural Bodycare, a pioneer in formulating cutting-edge effective natural skincare products, is excited to announce that their comprehensive line of over 90 formulas is now 100% vegan, and mostly gluten-free. This demonstrates derma e®’s long lasting commitment to recognizing and supporting consumer concerns about ingredients in natural skincare products.
Throughout derma e®’s 25 year history, the company’s philosophy has always been to formulate 100% vegetarian and cruelty-free products. derma e® has more recently been striving to ensure the full product line is also vegan. With the recent removal of honey, beeswax and pearl powder, derma e® is proud to say that there are now no animal by-products in the entire line. All of the products are now 100% vegetarian, cruelty-free and vegan.
derma e® also recognizes that there is growing concern from individuals with gluten intolerance. While the primary concern is dietary, derma e® is aware that some people may also be sensitive to external application of gluten to the skin. Therefore, the entire natural skincare line, with the exception of two products, is now gluten-free. The ingredient used in these products, Avena sativa (oat) kernel extract, does play a critical role in the effectiveness of the formulas, helping to soothe itchy, irritated skin, but may contain traces of gluten depending upon the processing method used for the raw ingredient.
“Here at derma e®, we will continue to listen and support our consumers while developing quality, innovative and natural products that are safe and effective. We plan to continue to monitor natural ingredient trends and deliver products to meet our customers’ needs,” says Dr. Linda Miles, L. Ac., D.O.M., Vice President of derma e® Natural Bodycare.
