Toxic chemicals in household cleaning supplies can be detrimental to family, friends and pets. Have you ever thought there might be a way to make your own cleaning supplies at home? You can mix herbs with anti-bacterial properties to clean your house instead of using harsh chemicals and breathing in toxic fumes.

The Herbs Place recommends recipes to mix up your own healthy, anti-bacterial cleaners at home!

Disinfectant Spray for SurfacesCombine drops of cinnamon leaf, pine needle, frankincense and bergamotwith Sunshine Concentrte and water. Click here for the complete recipe. This is good for disinfecting countertops, stovetops and tile.

Rosemary Deodorizer and Disinfectant: Mix rosemary, grapefruit and lemon essential oils along with purified water. Click here for the complete recipe. This spray gets rid of odors and kills germs. During the cold and flu season, I recommend adding two drops eucalyptus essential oil to fight infection.

Spicy Orange Air Freshener: A mixture of orange and cinnamon leaf oils, and distilled water, creates a great cleaning spray for surfaces that need a little extra shine. Click here for the complete recipe.
